Representatives of the Journey will be speaking at all the Masses across the city in the fall to explain how important the Gathering Place will be to all Catholics. This past Sunday, our representative spoke at the three masses at St. Gerard Majella and was able to convey that the Journey is for all of us and conveys the importance of our faith and Pope Francis? call to all of us to do good works. There was excitement about our history inspiring both young and old to follow in the shoes of those involved in a multitude of good works over so many years and encourage them to take leadership roles in the many worthwhile projects of today and in the future. There was a genuine interest in preserving our history not only from the 1600s but, into the future, documenting the history of our remaining places of worship. St. Gerard Majella is celebrating their 50
th anniversary over the next year. This provides all of us the opportunity to support their many events in the true inclusive spirit of the Journey and celebrate together.
