As we proceed through the gardens, there will be a Garden of Migrants, which will reflect the global nature of Catholicism through the recognition of the various nationalities that have celebrated their religious culture and traditions in our area. This garden will symbolize acceptance and love for all people. It is intended to inspire respect and peace. Circular design elements will be used to emphasize unity. As we continue our journey, we will enter into the Garden of Witnesses, which will recognize individuals and families that have lived or are living the Catholic Life. This garden will include a celebration of family inspired by the Holy Family. In this garden individuals are given the opportunity to honor their families in a creative and meaningful way. Individually or collaboratively families can personalize text to commemorate their loved ones. At the end of the walkway, the Garden of Eternal Life will feature a Columbarium containing walls of niches for the interment of ashes with an eternal flame representing their perpetual care.
All Catholics are reminded that we can only move forward with active participation. The latest fundraiser is ‘the Journey’ Lottery drawing for total prizes of $49,000 - $1000 per week commencing January 25 (to assist in selling tickets – contact Bob Barbeau @ 705- 256-5454).
