As were displayed in the Cathedral and incorporated into ‘The Journey’ brochure, renderings have been prepared for ‘The Gathering Place’ by the architectural firm of Colizza Bruni Architecture. These renderings provide a starting point to meet the Vision and Goals established by the Cathedral. Work has been commenced by a Design Committee, which was formed and includes architects, a landscape designer, artists and a city planner. This committee will work on final design details, which may vary from the renderings. For example, they will advise with respect to the requirements for the multi-use building to implement the uses contemplated in our Vision and Goals; the requirements in the repository to best display the history and the historic artifacts; how best to have the religious orders, organizations, nationalities and/or cultures and historically significant clergy displayed in the gardens, repository and multi-use building; and the icons, such as the images, figures, statues, sculptures, plaques and other icons that will be displayed and where will they be placed. The renderings, as enhanced from time to time, can be viewed on the Cathedral’s website at www.preciousbloodssm.com. Please take some time to complete the information sheets with respect to yourself and your family and drop them off in the collection basket or the Cathedral office.
