The Communications and Fundraising Committees are working on a number of events and projects to kickoff the fundraising this Fall. It is intended that presentations will be made in all the Catholic Churches at Masses on Saturday September 21st and Sunday, September 22nd. There will be presentations and distribution of materials with respect to The Journey. There will also be a request for pledges of financial support over the next five years to ensure the donations necessary to construct The Gathering Place with its buildings, gardens, monuments and columbarium.
On September 29th, immediately following the 11am Mass, a BBQ reception will be held on the Precious Blood Cathedral Grounds. A Gala Dinner and Auction is being organized with a date to be finalized in the near future. A joint fundraising project is also being organized for the sale of Little Caesar Pizza products with details to be announced shortly. The Journey Committees are also investigating the possibility of holding a substantial lottery, which may assist in raising funds presently and in the future. There are many other fundraising projects that are also being organized to assist.
