Fr. Clarence has been appointed administrator in Blind River. We are very grateful for Fr. Clarence’s ministry here at Precious Blood. On a personal note, Fr. Clarence has been a tremendous friend and support to me, and I will miss him. I have assured him that this is home, and he is more than welcome at any time. Fr. Hamish
I invite you to join me in welcoming Deacon Chad Franklin to our parish. Bishop Dowd has appointed Deacon Chad to Precious Blood in anticipation of his ordination to the Priesthood on August 26 of this year. A local boy, Deacon Chad, is familiar with Sault Ste. Marie and looks forward to getting to know our parish and its parishioners. Chad attended St. Peters Seminary, London, Ontario and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree. As soon as health directives permit, Over the next year or so, Chad looks forward to getting acquainted with the realities of parish life to experience the demands and rewards of serving God’s people. Preparing Deacon Chad for ministry as a priest is not just my responsibility; rather, it is ”OUR” responsibility. I encourage you to make him welcome into the parish and your lives so he can gain wisdom and insight as he integrates his knowledge, skills and personal conviction as he moves closer to his priestly ordination. We will give him a proper welcome as the Church reopens, hopefully in the near future. In the meantime – hold him in your prayer. Fr. Hamish
